Well, I don't really know/remember that much about Megumi---especially since I watched that episode with her first appearance a long time ago. I like her though. She cares a lot about Kenshin and the others. The first time that she met them was when she had been forced to make an extremely potent version of opium for Takeda Kanryu. With the help of Kenshin, she is able to escape this life. Currently, she is working with Dr. Genzai, a family friend, as a doctor. Megumi is obviously a very talented doctor, because she is always the one who is able to heal Kenshin, Sanosuke, etc. when they are hurt. Also, she made some medicine for Kaoru to give to Kenshin if he ever needed it in his battle against Shishio. Instead, he gave the medicine to Sanosuke who had gotten badly injured while fighting and defeating a member of the Ju Pon Gatana, Anji. After Anji gives the medicine to Sano, he is able to run about with Kenshin and carry Yumi like a sack of potatoes throughout Shishio's headquarters. Now that's some medicine!
